EcoProducts achieves FSSC 22000 ver 4.1

EcoProducts, one of Africa’s most respected producers of Baobab Powder, has this week been awarded compliance with FSSC 22000 ver 4.1. The updated FSSC 22000 standard was released to bring what has been an already incredibly successful food safety standard right up to date with the latest requirements set by the GFSI in their benchmarking document 7.1.

“EcoProducts was awarded HACCP in 2015 and 2016 and FSSC 22000 in 2017.  Achieving FSSC 22000 ver 4.1 this year has been hard work and has required commitment from all of us to meet the standard every single day and in everything we do” says owner Dr Sarah Venter.

FSSC 22000 is fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is based on existing ISO Standards. FSSC 22000 provides a firm base on which EcoProducts builds its management system and it demonstrates that EcoProducts has a robust Food Safety Management System in place that meets the requirements of its customers and consumers around the world.

EcoProducts is proud of the recognition it has received. Click here for the report in SA GAP.
